As a Technical Writer, you will be part of a global, cross-functional team, supporting the development of our latest innovations in the field of Life Science and Applied Solutions. You will coordinate and create product-specific online help in collaboration with various internal departments and external partners.

The goal is to provide our customers with comprehensive and high-quality online help to ensure their satisfaction and to support the success of their research.

Your main task is to help our customers understand the overall functionality of our systems, so that they can use them efficiently and safely.

This position reports to the Senior Manager Global Product Compliance and Technical User Documentation and is part of the Technical User Documentation located in Mannheim and Wetzlar. The role is an on-site role located in Mannheim or Wetzlar.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Create the online help, prepare data (text/graphics), implement it in the online help, test the created online help on demo devices/prototypes to verify quality and usability, and provide the final localized online help in the required format.

2. Conduct cross-site research and gather information in the departments to compile product-specific information for documentation purposes in the online help.

3. Coordinate timing and content with the stakeholders and departments involved in the development process.

The essential requirements of the job include:

1. Degree in technical writing or in the technical field with specialized training as a technical writer.

2. Couple of years experience in the field of technical documentation and/or online-help.

3. Very good written and verbal skills in English and German.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

1. Ability to travel 15%, overnight, within Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

1. Knowledge in relevant software tools like MadCap Flare.

2. Programming and markup languages (HTML, XML, XSLT, etc.).
