The Business Development Team in Central Europe focuses on growth of categories in 4 markets: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Netherlands. We lead our cluster efforts in the area of sales and proposition build for Public Sector clients, commercial cards, SME business, transactional banking, cross border, new flows, fintech, and strategic partnerships. These specific business lines are seen as significant drivers for Visa’s future growth.
In the role of Business Development within the Public Sector, you will have a direct impact on the strategy and its execution. You will take accountability for the delivery of related objectives. You will work with Visa clients and partners, closely cooperating with other functions in the market, in the cluster, in Europe, and globally.
Visa is seeking an experienced professional to join the CE Business Development Team for 4 markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Netherlands) with a focus on the German market. This role will have the following responsibilities:
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• Proven experience and understanding of how payments and financial services sectors operate.
• Proven knowledge of both issuing and acceptance solutions within Central Europe.
• Ideally, proven knowledge of Public Sector Payment ecosystems or strong interest to adapt existing knowledge to this vertical.
• Willingness to adapt knowledge to specific Public Sector ecosystems and contribute to a learning by doing approach.
• Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking – building up first-ever use cases.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for creating best-in-class understanding of Public Sector requirements and ecosystem.
• Consultative sales experience, with the ability to educate a wide range of stakeholders on Visa’s capabilities, clearly business-oriented.
• Ability to negotiate business agreements and enhance existing and new relationships.
• Experience in effectively creating and confidently delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Be open-minded and excited about future technologies, willing to learn, work, and engage in a multi-cultural environment.
• Degree level education is desirable, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in speaking and writing German and English.
