Junior Web Developer (f/m/d) (Part-Time 20 hours)

We are seeking a part-time Junior Web Developer to join our dynamic and growing e-commerce team. As a Junior Web Developer, you will assist in developing, customising, and maintaining our Shopify stores. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for web development, e-commerce, and learning new technologies.

You can easily work remotely with us withinGermany - but we would of course also be happy if you started at our Berlin office!

Key Responsibilities:

• You will develop and customise Shopify themes to meet project requirements
• You will implement responsive designs, ensuring cross-browser compatibility
• You will assist with the integration of third-party apps and APIs
• You will collaborate with our designers and project managers to translate design mockups into fully functional Shopify websites
• You will help support the team to optimise website performance and user experience
• You can troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues in Shopify stores
• You will support the team in testing and quality assurance
• You will stay updated with the latest Shopify features, apps, and industry best practices

Your profile

Experience:

• You have at least 2 years of experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms
• You have experience with version control systems (e.g., Github)
• A previous internship or project experience with Shopify or web development is advantageous

• You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• You have or are currently following a degree or formal qualification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field

• You have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• You are familiar with Liquid, Shopify's templating language
• You have an understanding of web development principles and responsive design
• You have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• You have good communication skills and eagerness to learn
