The Director, Supply Chain Portfolio Management Office, Global (m/f/d) will drive strategy execution and oversee high-impact supply chain initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams and optimizing resources to ensure successful project delivery. Reporting to the VP Strategy & Excellence, this role is essential for enhancing transformation capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer experience to meet strategic goals. Your main tasks will include:

  1. Manage global Supply Chain initiatives portfolio with a focus on strategic project selection, governance, and benefit realization.
  2. Provide project management expertise for strategic initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and outcomes, and build capacity within the team to support these objectives.
  3. Apply risk management, governance, and quality standards across all projects.
  4. Lead and guide a diverse team of project managers and analysts across geographies, upholding Olympus core values.
  5. Conduct appraisals, set objectives, and support team members in achieving targets and development goals through regular 1:1s and training.
  6. Coach team members on Olympus policies, foster personal development, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  7. Proactively communicate team achievements and project progress to stakeholders, enhancing business awareness of team capabilities and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  8. Support the Head of SCM and VP of Strategy & Excellence by maintaining transparency and engagement in SCM transformation and strategic initiatives.
  9. Represent SCM within the Global PPM community, contributing to the development of effective PPM standards and practices.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s degree and certifications in Project/Portfolio Management are a plus.
  2. 8+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, preferably in consumer goods, medical devices, life sciences, or technology.
  3. Experience in mid to large multinational supply chain operations and managing complex global supply chain projects.
  4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external customers.
  5. Comfortable managing relationships with senior leadership.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; business fluent in English (additional languages like German or Japanese desirable).
  7. Proficient in ERP (SAP) systems, project management tools, and data management systems.
  8. Familiarity with IBP, WMS, and TMS platforms is a plus.
  9. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  10. Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
  11. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  12. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  13. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and resource management.
  14. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
