Digital Media Strategist (m/f/div)

Berlin, Hamburg, remote

This role is part of our Media Strategy team. We deliver end-to-end data-driven campaigns which foster both creativity and performance. Our specialty is creative, digital communication that drives performance, boosts brand awareness, and shifts market share for our clients such as eBay, Douglas, Aldi, Smart, and more! Our team in Germany is the only agency that combines technology, creativity, and data to truly deliver state-of-the-art solutions to make our clients grow and challenge the traditional agency landscape.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Digital Media Strategist (m/f/div) at DEPT, you will be the connecting link between our client's business objectives and our agency's comprehensive service portfolio. You will work closely with our Client Service team to create and implement strategic plans for well-known brands in our client portfolio and help them navigate through the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Together with the Media Strategy Director, you will be the main driver for developing long-term digital marketing strategies including communication, performance, and media tactics in collaboration with our channel & tech experts. Together with our client service team, you present your team's work & ideas eloquently in workshops, QBRs, or other formats to our clients and partners.

We are looking for someone passionate about digital communication & emerging technologies; you should always have an eye on market trends and bring this enthusiasm to our clients & teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, target audience, and industry landscape
  • Translate insights derived from data into a clear story to convince the client
  • Develop innovative and data-driven digital marketing strategies that align with client objectives
  • Leverage a deep understanding of marketing, technology, and innovation to create comprehensive plans that drive measurable results
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal execution of campaigns and projects
  • Analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Fluent in German & English
  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a digital planner, communications or media strategist
  • Deep knowledge of the technical as well as creative capabilities of the most popular digital marketers/networks (Search, Social, Display, Mobile, DOOH, etc)
  • Independently conduct consumer research, develop data-based target group insights, and derive holistic communication strategies, campaign plans, channel and media recommendations from these insights
  • Ability to explain complex data and information in an easy and understandable manner to clients
  • Strong networking skills to bring together different disciplines and specialists
  • High sense of responsibility and enjoy working independently
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to new tasks
