About the Role

Are you a senior logistics professional with extensive experience in automotive supply chain management? We are hiring an Operations Director to lead contract logistics operations for a major provider in Western Germany. This role focuses on overseeing high-volume automotive logistics processes including in-plant logistics sequencing and CKD (Completely Knocked Down) operations. Key Responsibilities

As the Operations Director, you will lead a multi-site team and drive the success of automotive logistics operations. Your responsibilities include:

1. Operational Leadership:
   • Manage and optimize operations across multiple contract logistics facilities in Germany West.
   • Ensure efficiency and quality in in-plant logistics, CKD, and sequencing processes.
   • Establish and implement operational best practices to meet and exceed client KPIs.
2. Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive clients.
   • Develop tailored solutions for clients' logistics needs, ensuring operational and contractual excellence.
   • Serve as the primary contact for senior client representatives and internal stakeholders.
3. Strategic Growth and Innovation:
   • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, automation, and innovation.
   • Leverage technology to enhance logistics processes and maintain a competitive edge.
   • Contribute to business growth by exploring and implementing new opportunities in automotive logistics.
4. Financial and Performance Management:
   • Develop and manage budgets for operations across all sites.
   • Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and present findings to senior leadership.
   • Deliver cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience in automotive logistics and supply chain management, particularly in-plant logistics, sequencing, and CKD operations.
• Proven success in a senior leadership role within contract logistics or a similar field.
• Strong expertise in managing large teams and multi-site operations.
• Outstanding client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of the latest innovations and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
• Fluency in German and English is highly desirable.
