The role is embedded in the ETRM Solutions team (ETRM - Energy Trading and Risk Management) which is responsible for design, built, test, support and run of modules in RWEST's Endur platform.

As Database Engineer you are working closely together with operations colleagues and other IT teams to ensure that our Endur Databases are running in a reliable way in our AWS Cloud environments. You use your Cloud and DevOps experience and implement your own concepts (with the support of a great team)!

Your responsibilities

• You are looking for a challenge which combines your Database knowledge with Cloud and application/business knowledge.
• You are motivated to shape the cloud infrastructure of a major RWEST application incl Infrastructure as Code and Monitoring.
• You are open to collaborate closely with various internal and external contacts - application experts, operations experts, RWE IT infrastructure experts, AWS Experts.
• You like to continuously improve processes and drive change.

Your profile

• Hands on experience with IaaS and PaaS in Amazon Web Services, including RDS, S3, Lambda, EC2, KMS, IAM, CloudWatch, ELK.
• You have SQL and PL/SQL skills, Oracle Data Guard experience and performance tuning skills in Oracle 19c and later versions.
• Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation etc.).
• Fundamental experience in CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab or similar).
• You are a team player who is able to communicate effectively with team members, users and business representatives at all levels.
• You operate calmly in a high-pressure environment showing a result oriented working style.
