YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Holistic evaluation of constructive solutions taking into account function, service life, reliability and approvability.
• Elaboration and development of constructive solutions for modifications to aircraft or new development of structural parts, complex systems and components, taking into account their effect on the aircraft, and determination of the verification and the applicable construction regulations.
• Review of all construction documents for technical correctness and compliance with applicable airworthiness requirements and for the release of these construction documents.
• Responsible for the preparation, review and approval of all engineering verification documents specified in the type test programme, and verification of compliance with all applicable airworthiness requirements.
• Responsible for checking and approving the technical content of maintenance and operating instructions.
• Responsible for assessing modifications and construction deviations in terms of their impact on the design documents and on other A/C systems.
• Responsible for checking and approving specifications, data sheets, standards, materials, manufacturing and test procedures.
• Responsible for the involvement of the type examination control centre in all events affecting safety and airworthiness.

MUST-HAVES

• Completed 4-year university education in the field of mechanical engineering, specialising in aerospace engineering.
• Several years of professional experience and sound knowledge in the development, design, certification and construction of the aircraft structure and aircraft systems.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, CAD software (CCD, CATIA V4, V5).
• Very good knowledge of handling A/C documentation.
• Managing and negotiating verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to work in a team, good time management and a high degree of reliability.
• Presence of the prerequisites for aviation security background check (§ 7 Luftsicherheitsgesetz (LuftSiG)).

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Sound knowledge of aviation-specific standards, materials, standard parts, construction regulations as well as of the Airbus drawing system and the Airbus design principles.
• Sound knowledge of air law (air law development - EASA Part 21 J / DOA).
• Sound knowledge of certification specification / airworthiness.
• Sound knowledge of the applicable building regulations and the associated verification procedures.
