Offshore Engineering
As an Offshore Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and planning of offshore platforms. Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing structural concepts and general planning for offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with safety and stability requirements;
- Managing the basic design phase and supporting detailed engineering in coordination with construction and installation teams;
- Conducting technical coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies;
- Assisting in technical specifications for tenders and contracts related to offshore structures;
- Providing technical support for modifications to offshore assets, integrating new components and systems;
- Leading general arrangements and safety planning to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency;
- Driving CAD-related tasks, ensuring seamless integration of structural and safety requirements;
- Facilitating interdisciplinary discussions on risk assessments, structural safety, and platform optimization.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field;
- Proficiency in CATIA and CAD software, with experience in offshore platforms, topside modules, or floating structures;
- Strong understanding of offshore safety regulations, classification standards, and risk assessments;
- Fluent English skills (negotiation level); German is a plus;
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a structured and solution-oriented mindset.
