Acts as a lead and most senior member of the team, overseeing the implementation of projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and driving technical excellence across data products
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust data pipelines using modern data engineering practices
Transform raw data into analysis-ready datasets, empowering end users and supporting business decision-making
Implement DevOps best practices, including automated code generation, data validation, and environment maintenance (development, test, production)
Write production-quality code while following best practices for maintainability, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, promoting data-driven decision-making and ensuring efficient use of data assets
Participate in cross-functional agile teams to develop and deliver high-quality data products at speed
Ensure clear, consistent documentation of datasets, processes, and analysis, while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and unified data standards
Collaborate with the platform team to discover opportunities to improve our systems and processes to have high-quality data
What makes you a good fit
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in data integration, modeling, and provisioning, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and DAX, with experience in ETL/ELT design, data specifications, and quality assurance
Hands-on experience with Databricks preferred
Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and enterprise scale development using tools like Azure DevOps
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex data concepts to business stakeholders
Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
