Opportunity Overview
In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for the GSA region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria). You will report directly to the General Manager GSA and work closely with international teams. While this position does not yet involve direct personnel management, it offers significant creative freedom and requires strategic thinking from planning to execution. You will lead marketing activities to support the launch of new therapies in the field of rare neuroendocrine diseases and develop omnichannel marketing campaigns. Your ability to conduct market analysis and make data-driven strategic decisions will be key. You will also work closely with external providers to organize webinars, symposia and congress presence, as well as manage content creation and the company’s website.


Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Responsible for the development and implementation of the cross functional integrated strategic and tactical plan in close collaboration with the medical director GSA and the international team.
  2. Function as the brand champion ensuring maximal focus and single minded messaging across the GSA region.
  3. Accountable for a flawless and smooth implementation of the plan by the field forces resulting in aligned account & HCP engagement plans.
  4. Sales Force Support: collaborate closely with the sales team to provide the necessary tools, insights, and resources that empower them to achieve their goals and maximize customer engagement.
  5. Sales Force Effectiveness: analyze and optimize sales force performance by implementing strategic initiatives, training programs, and data-driven insights to improve efficiency and impact in the field.
  6. New product / new indication launches: plan and execute best in class launches across the GSA region, working closely with the GM, local and international commercial & medical teams.
  7. Omnichannel Marketing: develop and implement omnichannel campaigns (digital, print, events, etc…) in alignment with International Marketing and collaborate with the region on required to be developed campaigns.
  8. Business Insights & Analytics:
    1. Market Research & Segmentation: conduct target group analyses, drive segmentation, and support market research to optimize marketing strategies.
    2. Performance Measurement: monitor commercial activity success through KPIs and traffic analysis, especially on digital platforms, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    3. Tactical Initiatives: use market insights to drive local marketing efforts, leveraging creative freedom to enhance brand and product positioning in the GSA region.
  9. Content Management: create and manage content for internal and external communication channels, including the company, HCP and disease related websites in collaboration with the region.
  10. Event Management: organize and execute events, such as congresses, webinars and symposia to enhance disease awareness and brand presence.
  11. Build and expand sustainable personal relationships with key External Experts for the relevant indications.
  12. Compliance adherence: maintain a thorough understanding of and strict adherence to pharmaceutical compliance regulations, ensuring all activities are conducted ethically and within legal standards.
  13. Budget planning and management: oversee budgeting and cost control for all marketing activities; own responsibility for patient/revenue and OPEX planning for the respective planning period (3 years); ensure flawless tracking of OPEX spend and sharp forecast accuracy using the available supporting tools.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree in science, pharmacy or medical science, Masters in Marketing and/or Business Administration a plus.
  2. Minimum 7 years national or international pharmaceutical marketing and at least 3 years of sales experience. Experience in rare diseases preferred.
  3. Demonstrated commercial success through excellent execution in the German market. Austrian and/or Swiss market experience is a plus.
  4. Significant track-record in terms of launches, especially with specialty care & rare diseases innovative drugs and precision medicines.
  5. Strong analytical skills to conduct market and target group analyses.
  6. Able to manage multiple projects in parallel and maintain overview, while ensuring a high level of execution and on time delivery.
  7. Proven experience in the development and implementation of omnichannel campaigns aimed at HCPs and/or patients, including CRM expertise, opt-in programs, and webinars.
  8. Out of the box thinker with strong interest in innovative approaches.
  9. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions and liaise with local teams to successfully roll out marketing initiatives.
  10. Leadership skills, ability to perform in a moving environment and to influence without authority.
  11. Self-starter who functions well independently or within a team.
  12. Strong oral and written communication skills in German and English; French language skills are a plus.
  13. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

This role is home office based. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able travel within the GSA region and internationally. The role may require part time presence in Rhythm Germany’s local office in Munich.
