The Faculty of Humanities and Education is offering a W2 Professorship for Educational Measurement. The appointment is planned for 1st of October 2025.
The University of Hildesheim, the Technische Universität Braunschweig and Leibniz University Hannover have jointly acquired start-up funding for new professorships as part of the call Strengthening Empirical Educational Research in Lower Saxony (Stärkung der empirischen Bildungsforschung in Niedersachsen), and will establish a Research Alliance for Intervention, Implementation and Transfer Research (Forschungsallianz zur Interventions-, Implementations- und Transferforschung, FI2T). The Research Alliance aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of educational interventions and to identify specific conditions of their successful implementation and broad deployment.
Complementary to the new professorships Research on Professional Development in Education and Transformative School Development / Educational Innovation and Change at the Hildesheim and Hanover locations, which are also involved in the research alliance, the focus of the professorship advertised here is on the (further) development of empirical research methods in the context of educational intervention, implementation and transfer research. The candidate (f/m/d) should have methodological expertise in the field of mixed methods, with a focus on quantitative methods.
The successful candidate (f/m/d) is expected to be committed to the university’s strategic goals and to actively shape its holistic development. This applies in particular to digitalisation, internationalisation, equality and diversity, as well as knowledge exchange.
International research and teaching experience, excellent command of the English language, as well as the ability and willingness to teach courses in English are a prerequisite.
