Application Analyst I

Responsibilities

• Monitor the software application, and document and analyze problems.
• Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified applications.
• Plan, coordinate, test, and communicate changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules.
• Ensure business operations will operate correctly in current and future environments.
• Set up administrator and service accounts.
• Provide advice and training to end-users.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and solve technical problems.
• Interface with vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely problem resolution.
• Responsible for moving changes submitted by developers between Dev, QA, and Production.
• Responsible for testing changes submitted by developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience supporting IT Applications preferred.
• Significant relational database experience, MS SQL Server preferred, with the ability to create SQL queries and procedures with the necessary complexity to extract and present data in an accurate and meaningful format.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably with a manufacturing focus, and other business applications.
• Experience with application and system integrations; EDI experience a plus.
• Knowledge of wholesale, distribution, or business management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
