Being part of HSBC in Duesseldorf, you’ll help evolve and grow our business as a Regulatory Change Manager, Compliance (m/f/d).
What you will do:
- Manage key accountabilities in a regulatory environment which is increasingly demanding, complex and challenging.
- Cooperate with different stakeholders to ensure oversight over regulatory changes to spread Compliance culture and enforce Compliance requirements.
- Provide advice for new rules and regulations, especially for Markets and Securities Services.
- Form part of the Compliance team that provides independent support on regulatory changes for Global Line of Businesses, Global Functions, and/or jurisdictions within the second line of defence.
- Act as a valued member of the Reg. Compliance Team to drive the global and regional approach in challenge, guidance, support, and interpretation on new regulatory developments; coordinate with equivalent counterparts in other compliance teams to ensure a consistent, best practice and ‘joined-up’ approach.
- Understand new and revised regulatory requirements, codes of practice, etc., ensuring changes and impacts are disseminated to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure that a detailed analysis is completed for HBCE Markets and securities services regulatory developments that impact HBCE.
- Work with the wider Compliance Function to provide advice and oversight of first line regulatory change implementation, escalate where necessary, and report on completion.
- Support on implementation projects where possible.
You should apply if you have:
- A good knowledge of European legal and regulatory requirements particularly with respect to Markets business.
- A good understanding of European legislative processes.
- Significant working experience in Compliance or Legal roles or correspondent roles.
- Ambition to enhance compliance knowledge and skills in a rapidly changing and dynamic Markets environment.
- Experience with working within a matrixed environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills and confidence to deal with senior and executive level staff to defend guidance, sell the benefits of Compliance risk management, and challenge their operating environment.
- Significant level of autonomy and team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
