Phlair unleashes CO2's potential through breakthrough innovation. We rapidly deploy Direct Air Capture technology, facilitating the removal and reuse of CO2 at scale.

For decades, fossil fuels served as the backbone and feedstock of our economy – with the downside of polluting our atmosphere. We invert this equation by developing a cost-efficient and scalable electrochemical Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. We have cracked the nut here by developing a breakthrough hydrolizer for acid/base regeneration, allowing us to capture CO2 from ambient air for either permanent storage or as a precursor for CO2-negative chemicals. For this, we collaborate with leading customers like Frontier Climate, Stripe, Shopify and Klarna.

What you’ll need

Hard skills that are necessary

• Meister in Industrial Mechanics or Mechatronics
• Manufacturing, adapting and assembling mechanical, electrical and electronic components
• Machining activities as required (e.g. milling, turning, drilling)
• Inspection and functional testing of mechanical (and electronic) components

Soft skills that are necessary

• You work methodologically with great care and attention to detail
• You are extremely reliable and have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work
• You have a creative and open-minded way of thinking
• You can apply your knowledge to novel first-of-a-kind solutions
• You are great at communicating and work well in a team

We are the first EU and German DAC company to be selected by Frontier Climate. Frontier is a buyers' club for high quality carbon removal credits, i.e. a certificate validating the permanent (for >1,000 years!) and additional (to natural processes) removal of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, thereby curbing global warming.

Great to have, but optional

• PLC programming skills
• Experience in electrics and electronics
• Accreditation to work with explosive gases (e.g. hydrogen)
• Experience in welding polymer pipes, e.g. fibre-reinforced polypropylene piping systems

Your mission at Phlair

Together with our process plant engineering team, you will work on the following major work streams:

• Construction of complex piping systems according to technical drawings (cutting, welding, and bending)
• Assembly of individual components as well as entire assembly groups for pilot plant metal skid frame
• Production and customization of mechanical components using the following exemplary techniques: milling, turning (lathe), sawing, drilling, laser- and waterjet cutting, grinding, welding etc.
• Fitting and mounting components and assemblies into mechanical skid frame
• Temporary construction and commissioning of a chemical process plant in Haiming, Ismaning, and Alberta
• Maintenance of existing process plants and workshop machines
• Execution of general safety and organizational rules concerning work in the workshop
