As a 100% remote home office role with headquarters Office in Ulm, Germany we are looking for a dedicated Land Acquisition Manager to join our team.

What You Will Do

1. Develop, review, and maintain an origination strategy that considers the key activities required to deliver solar farms and BESS projects;
2. Identify, appraise, and secure suitable renewable energy development opportunities;
3. Manage, negotiate, and secure land option and lease agreements, including any other relevant property agreements, to facilitate the successful delivery, acquisition, or disposal of renewable energy and low-carbon projects;
4. Ensure that land right negotiations are conducted in a manner consistent with the values and goals of Elgin;
5. Establish and safeguard key relationships with landowners, agents, consultants;
6. Contribute to securing satisfactory project opportunities and collaborate closely with our grid, operations, and planning teams;
7. Manage a diverse range of land-related opportunities and act as the primary point of contact for those opportunities;
8. Provide other energy-related development support and advice to the company’s wider activities, goals and objectives;

Your Profile

1. A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience as a land manager, identifying, negotiating, and securing land rights;
2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to influence effectively at all levels;
3. Extensive experience in negotiating and securing Exclusivity Agreements, Head of Terms, Options, Lease Agreements, and Easements;
4. Ability to use GIS or other spatial environmental and planning software systems;
5. In-depth knowledge of the agricultural landscape and a deep understanding of the German renewables market;
6. A good understanding of the relevant permit procedures for solar and BESS projects;
7. Willingness to present renewable energy projects to permitting committees and community meetings, with the support of the development team;
8. Fluency in German and English.
