With a team of more than 380 employees characterized by strong collaboration and solidarity, we operate four polymer plants in Gelsenkirchen with a total annual production volume of around one million tons of polymer products for countless applications in life.
Our site's history dates back to the 1950s, when the first polyethylene plant was built and successfully commissioned, followed by a major expansion with two polymer plants in the late 1960s. Over time, the site was rebuilt with a focus on continuous growth and expanded to its current configuration of two polyethylene and one polypropylene plants.
The most recent, very significant expansion, with the commissioning of a new HDPE plant (bimodal), was realized in 2008.
The location advantage of being located next to the olefin plants of Ruhr Öl GmbH – BP Gelsenkirchen and the connection to the European Ethylene Pipeline (ARG) and the Propylene Pipeline (PRG) means a well-secured supply of the necessary raw materials ethylene and propylene and a strong position and integration in the European Petrochemical Association.
