Senior Fullstack Developer (m/f/d)

As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on prospects and customers to experience the unique value of Aparavi’s products. You will work within a cross-disciplinary team to deliver back-end services (75%) and front-end user interfaces (25%) that enable customers to gain insights and leverage their unstructured data for GenAI applications and other use cases, whether it sits on local devices, data centers, or cloud providers. Additionally, you will help to improve quality, security and performance.

This role reports to the SVP of Engineering and works under the technical guidance of our local Tech Lead. This is an in-office position based at our office in Munich, Germany.

Your role at Aparavi

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design, estimate, implement, iterate, and deliver UX and server features to support our vertical market product strategy.
• Collaborate with your team to write maintainable/testable code and address critical technical debt.
• Identify the root cause of complex issues and implement bug fixes.
• Actively maintain a high technical bar and work to improve team processes.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and technical design reviews.
• Rapidly build expertise in our tech stack and a thorough understanding of our products and solutions.
• Be available to work with colleagues in the US and occasionally pick up production incidents or urgent customer escalations outside of normal business hours.

What we are looking for

• 8+ years' experience and excellent coding skills with Node.js.
• 3+ years’ experience in web application development including JavaScript, React.
• 5+ years’ developer-level experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, SQLite, and DuckDB.
• Bachelor's degree in software or any related studies.

Preferred skills and traits

• Embody end-to-end product ownership and a growth mindset.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues simply and understand others’ viewpoints.
• Solid system design skills.
• Demonstrable knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS) and common networking protocol fundamentals like TCP, HTTP/S, and gRPC.
• Experience with JavaScript build tools and bundlers; solid knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Practical experience and familiarity with Agile Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
