Job Description:
As the Technical Product Manager – Advanced Microscopy, you will lead the development and lifecycle management of cutting-edge microscopy systems, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of innovation and market competitiveness. This role requires a multidisciplinary foundation in optics, mechanics, electronics, and control systems, combined with strategic vision and market awareness. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, R&D, production, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with customer needs and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Design and Development:
    1. Design comprehensive solutions for advanced microscopy systems, from requirements analysis and technical selection to risk assessment and execution.
    2. Define and refine product specifications in line with strategic goals and market demand.
  2. Quality and Delivery Management:
    1. Oversee the entire lifecycle of microscopy systems and integrated hardware components, from prototyping and testing to production and delivery.
    2. Ensure products meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    1. Work closely with procurement, quality assurance, R&D, and production teams to manage product lifecycles and resolve technical challenges.
    2. Provide training and technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  4. Technology Research and Innovation:
    1. Monitor advancements in microscopy technologies, materials, and processes.
    2. Introduce innovative techniques and solutions to enhance product performance and competitiveness.
  5. Strategic Planning:
    1. Develop and execute technical roadmaps for microscopy products based on industry trends and market analysis.
    2. Evaluate and establish partnerships with technology collaborators to drive innovation and scalability.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    1. Master’s degree or higher in Optics, Automation, Electronics, or a related field relevant to microscopy or imaging technologies.
  2. Experience:
    1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within the microscopy or related high-tech hardware industry.
    2. Proven leadership in the end-to-end development of at least one advanced microscopy system or related hardware product.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    1. Deep understanding of super-resolution microscopy techniques (e.g., SIM, STED, SMLM), confocal systems, and spinning disk technology.
    2. Strong project management skills and experience with cross-departmental collaboration.
  4. Soft Skills:
    1. Independent thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
    2. Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and handle diverse technical and strategic tasks.
  5. Other Requirements:
    1. Willingness to travel as needed to support collaboration, training, and implementation.
