Global Customer Master Data Specialist (m/f/d)

Data Management Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Data Process: Collaborate with the Data Lead to manage master data, including ingestion, validation, standardization, normalization, and transformation frameworks.
  2. Data Improvements: Implement updates and enhancements to master data, and design reporting tools to monitor data needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  3. Optimization & Recommendations: Contribute to data optimization efforts and recommend initiatives to improve processes, ensuring data services are maintained and monitored.
  4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain data maps and flows within the MDM organization, providing guidance for business reporting.
  5. Cross-Domain Collaboration: Optimize data flow between domains and consumers, and create relevant SLAs and KPIs to align across business areas.
  6. Strategic Data Support: Advise on leveraging master data to support business goals and strategic initiatives.

Data Governance Responsibilities:

  1. Governance Practices: Drive data governance implementation, ensuring data harmonization across business lines.
  2. Policies & Compliance: Develop and enforce data governance, quality, and security policies to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  3. Data Classification & Consolidation: Ensure proper classification of data/metadata and implement solutions for consolidating and cleansing data into a unified storage platform.

Master Data Management Responsibilities:

  1. MDM Tools: Utilize MDM tools to cleanse and distribute customer master data while maintaining data quality standards.
  2. Customer Data Stewardship: Ensure high-quality customer data for reuse across the organization and work with the Data Lead to maintain traceability mappings.
  3. System Changes Analysis: Provide business analysis for system changes, highlighting problems, opportunities, and business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 5-10 years of experience in data governance, product data, data architecture, data science.
  3. Strong proficiency in data management, including structure, flow design, validation, mapping, de-duplication, and consolidation.
  4. Experience in data profiling, data integration, and data quality assurance.
  5. Deep understanding of MDM architectures and business processes.
  6. Industry experience in Medical Technology, FMCG, or CPG sectors.
  7. Extensive experience managing product or customer data and lineage/traceability mappings; ideally in a global environment.
  8. Experience in an Agile IT environment is a plus.
  9. Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyze and resolve data inconsistencies.
  10. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  11. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and to influence without direct authority.
  12. Analytical and conceptual mindset with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
