The MIKUTA brand was founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens White, starting in 2017 with a small jewellery line, which later expanded to clothing in 2019. MIKUTA is a young, wild & free-inspired fashion brand for modern women with a glimpse of rock’n’roll. MIKUTA is currently one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands in the fashion market.

Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal. We are currently working with Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Collection cycles and soon grow to a product portfolio of more than 150 products.

ABOUT THE JOB

MIKUTA is looking for an inspiring and strategic Head of Brand to lead the way in shaping our brand’s narrative and global presence. This role is for a creative visionary who can transform MIKUTA’s rock’n’roll-inspired ethos into compelling, authentic stories that resonate across every touchpoint. From overseeing integrated campaigns and creative production to building a loyal community and amplifying our global reach, you’ll be at the heart of defining how the world experiences MIKUTA.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Strategy & Content
    • Brand Strategy: lead brand positioning, consumer research, and identity development to create a compelling and cohesive brand narrative.
    • Creative Production: oversee the production of creative assets, including copy, graphic design, and video.
    • Content Marketing: develop and implement a content marketing strategy, aligning content with brand objectives.
    • Offline Integrated Campaigns: create and manage offline marketing campaigns that resonate with our audience, from concept to execution.
  2. Community & Advocacy
    • Social Media: drive engagement and growth across social media platforms by delivering impactful content and building online communities.
    • Influencers & Creators: build influencers + creators international programs to amplify brand advocacy and reach new audiences.
    • Community Engagement: build and nurture a loyal customer community through engagement programs and authentic communication.
    • PR: manage public relations efforts to enhance brand reputation and visibility in key markets.
  3. Brand Activation & Retail Marketing
    • Product Launches: lead the marketing strategy for product launches, ensuring they create buzz and drive customer interest.
    • Retail Marketing: partner with retail teams to develop marketing strategies for stores and wholesale channels.
    • Brand experiential moments: design and execute immersive brand experiences, events, and pop-ups that embody the brand’s essence and enhance customer connection.

ABOUT YOU

Experience

  • Brand Leadership: Proven experience in leading brand strategy and execution, ideally within the fashion, lifestyle, or premium consumer goods sectors.
  • Creative Vision: A strong portfolio showcasing the ability to develop and execute creative campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Community Building: Demonstrated success in building and nurturing online and offline communities, leveraging social media and influencer partnerships.
  • Campaign Execution: Hands-on experience planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns, including events, activations, and experiential marketing.
  • Omnichannel Expertise: Experience aligning brand strategy across e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels.
  • Global Perspective: Understanding of international markets, with experience in developing culturally relevant campaigns for diverse audiences.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect high-level brand vision with actionable strategies and measurable results.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and grow creative and marketing teams.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Proficiency in analyzing customer insights, market trends, and campaign performance to inform decision-making.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives and articulate ideas clearly.
