Team / division overview
The Chief Risk Office (CRO) within DWS is an independent function responsible for protecting the business as well as being a trusted adviser and partner for supporting sustainable business growth.
CRO is responsible for ensuring that DWS meets its regulatory and contractual commitments as well as the expectations of clients, shareholders and regulators that the organisation "does what is right rather than just what is allowed". CRO seeks to protect DWS against losses and reputational damage, through effective oversight and advice, underpinned by an exemplary risk culture. The Risk platform is the independent risk oversight function of DWS, with sustainability risk playing a pivotal role in driving the commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
Role Details
As a Senior Risk Manager you will (be):
- Integration and management of PAI s into key components of the DWS Group's risk management framework.
- Principal Adverse Impact implementation in the context of EU SFDR and other regulations.
- Cover 2nd line of defense responsibilities for PAI-related risks.
- Planning, execution and reporting on PAI risk management implementation activities.
- Contribute to operationalizing ESG/sustainability frameworks, regulations and policies.
- Responsibility for ongoing risk management activities related to principle adverse impact.
- Planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating workshops to develop new methods and processes.
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to a staff member in the execution of ESG risk-related project activities.
- You will report to the Head of ESG/Sustainability Risk.
We are looking for
- University degree in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Business Administration or Risk Management.
- Proven experience in risk management, statistical analysis, financial markets and/or pricing.
- Proven experience in ESG/Sustainability Risk Management.
- Minimum 9 years of experience in relevant roles.
- Knowledge of the European regulatory environment for Asset Managers.
- Experience in the European and Global ESG Environment for Asset Managers.
- Excellent analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, project management skills.
- Ability to interact and lead projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent command of English language, German is considered an advantage.
