Team / division overview The Chief Risk Office (CRO) within DWS is an independent function responsible for protecting the business from excessive losses as well as being a trusted adviser and partner for supporting sustainable business growth.
Within CRO, the Financial Risk Management team concentrates on risks taken by DWS as a listed company. These include mainly investments into alternatives and liquid assets, credit and counterparty exposures as well as liquidity, FX, guarantee, pension or compensation related risks. The team also captures forward-looking risk, identifying and assessing emerging risks in close coordination with our global Macro Research team.
We are a small team with a global scope, and our decisions have a direct impact on DWS Group's risk position. For this role, we look for a strong candidate with the skill and motivation to manage risk positions and oversee respective hedging programs, in the context of our global risk framework and regulatory requirements.
Role Details As a Risk Manager, you will
- Identify, assess and monitor equity, credit and FX market risk from DWS balance sheet positions, as well as respective hedging programs and underlying risk factors
- Enable decision-making and approvals around those risks
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders in Business and Finance areas to run an effective risk management process
- Develop tangible stress tests and risk scenarios in collaboration with analysts and experts within DWS
- Establish and develop appropriate risk and control framework for the risk types in scope
We are looking for
- Several years of practical experience in the analysis of equity, credit or FX market risk
- Strong quantitative skills regarding the application of statistical/ financial models to diverse set of data and meaningful interpretation of the results
- Strong knowledge of investment products and familiarity with balance sheet analysis
- University degree primarily in Finance, Economics, or other science with a quantitative emphasis
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to make a difference
- Ability to execute against deadlines

Rollenbeschreibung Als Risk Manager, werden Sie folgendes verantworten:
- Ermittlung, Bewertung und Ã?berwachung von Aktien-, Kredit- und Devisenmarktrisiken auf Basis von Bilanzpositionen der DWS sowie der jeweiligen Absicherungsprogramme und zugrunde liegenden Risikofaktoren
- Entscheidungsvorlagen und Freigaben in Bezug auf diese Risiken
- Zusammenarbeit mit hochrangigen Ansprechpartnern in den Geschäfts- und Finanzbereichen, um ein wirksames Risikomanagement zu gewährleisten
- Entwicklung nachvollziehbarer Stresstests und Risikoszenarien in Zusammenarbeit mit Analysten und Experten innerhalb der DWS
- Erstellung und Weiterentwicklung eines angemessenen Risiko- und Kontrollrahmens für die relevanten Risikotypen
Wir suchen
- Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung in der Analyse von Aktien-, Kredit- oder FX-Marktrisiken
- Ausgeprägte quantitative Fähigkeiten in Bezug auf die Anwendung von statistischen/ finanziellen Modellen auf unterschiedliche Datenmengen und sinnvolle Interpretation der Ergebnisse
- Ausgeprägte Kenntnis von Anlageprodukten und Verständnis von Bilanzanalyse
- Universitätsabschluss in den Bereichen Finanzen, Wirtschaft oder anderem Studienfach quantitativem Schwerpunkt
- Ausgezeichnetes Englisch in Wort und Schrift
- Intellektuelle Neugier und Bereitschaft, etwas zu bewirken
- Fähigkeit der Einhaltung von Fristen
