Distributor Account Manager
Germany or Italy (Home office)

My growing Semiconductor client is looking for an experienced candidate who can recruit and establish a strong distribution channel for their products. You will work autonomously from a home office, but will have Worldwide technical support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Owner of relationship matrix of distributors to enable the client to be efficient and successful with our distribution partners.
  2. Own and hit/exceed annual sales and DWIN targets within assigned distribution accounts or territories as set by the company, and to be constantly aware of how sales/DWIN revenue are performing for the year to date and how they compare to previous years.
  3. Act as the point of contact and handle distributors and mass market customers’ individual needs.
  4. Develop and execute multi-year Distribution business plans to maximize the clients Mass Market business revenue, increase market share, and position the company as a strategic supplier within our distribution partners.
  5. Present distribution sales business plans to the clients management and key supporting teams for alignment and support.
  6. Develop deep understanding of the assigned territory/distributors and what are the commercial and technical requirements.
  7. Cultivate and establish strong cooperative relationships at all levels of distribution organization, as well as drive timely, productive, and effective resolution of customer issues.
  8. Lead and drive new business demand creation with Distributor Product Managers, Field Application Engineers and the clients engineering resources to secure design wins and design win revenue.
  9. Schedule regular business reviews within their territory/distributors and setting corrective actions for underperformance accounts.
  10. Joint-work with the clients Marcom/FAEs and respective product teams in organising tradeshows / exhibitions to showcase our new product & technology; aim to create brand awareness and new business opportunity.
  11. Develop and execute Marcom programs with distributor partners (customer/industry events, seminars & trainings ...etc).
  12. Capable of managing a number of priorities and deliverables in an operational, interrupt driven environment with minimal guidance or supervision.
  13. Resolve conflicts and suggest actions to improve sales performance to customers and internal teams as well as identify opportunities for growth in a timely manner.
  14. To be resourceful and proactive, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of urgency.
  15. Ensure Market Share Growth in channel is achieved yearly.
  16. Other responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Key Requirements
  1. A degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering is desirable but not essential.
  2. 5 or more years of regional distribution sales experience in semiconductor industry, preferably in multi-cultural environment.
  3. Both a team player as well as individual/independent contributor.
  4. Fluency in both written and spoken English is a must and excellent presentation skill will be key for this role, ability to converse in other European Languages will be advantageous.
  5. Ability to evaluate complex situations in the distribution, EMS and OEM business.
  6. Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface directly with all levels of the customers' organization.
  7. Good level of understanding for business creation and development. Good skills for managing design-in and design-win pipeline process and prioritization.
  8. Well-versed in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Words and any other programs that can enhance and increase the efficiency of tasks.
  9. Action oriented, self-motivating, open-minded with strong listening communication and time conflict management skills.
  10. This role requires frequent traveling, including international travel.
