Director Supply Chain (W/M/D)

We are supporting a global leader in the automotive industry in their search for a Director Supply Chain to lead their supply chain function through its next stage of development.

In this position you will be an essential part of the company's overall growth, building upon the strong foundations of an organisation with an international customer base to optimise the supply chain function to facilitate more efficient supply chain and distribution initiatives to take advantage of an increasing demand and growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement best practices to optimise supply chain strategies.
2. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
3. Oversee warehousing and inventory management in line with demand and production schedules.
4. Analyse KPIs to identify areas of improvement for the supply chain and logistics function.
5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
6. Analyse risks to the supply chain including economy & inflation, political unrest & material shortages.

Key Skills

1. Strong history of developing a team of high performing individuals.
2. Excellent supplier negotiation skills.
3. Demonstrable experience of supply chain and logistics best practices.
4. Proficiency in supply chain management software.
