The Supply Chain function is responsible for all S&OP, Planning, Customer Service, Master Data, Procurement (Operational Buyers) and Inventory Control functions at Catalent, Schorndorf. The position is responsible for overseeing all activities and personnel within the Supply Chain function providing leadership for Customer Services, Planning, S&OP, Master Data and Material Management.

The Role

• Develop and execute site Supply Chain strategy aligned with Business, Operations and Quality Strategy.

• Manage Commercial supply agreements, ensure highest level of service levels and On Time Delivery to Customers.

• Intervene and resolve current / upcoming servicing issues through strong cross functional S&OP process.

• Implement and manage the planning and S&OP function to ensure optimal processing of customer orders.

• Work closely with operations and quality to develop production/laboratory capacity plans and strategies for the medium and long term.

• Negotiate and manage supply agreements and co-ordinate Supply Chain related items with customers.

• As the interface with the customer and Operations Team, actively contribute to the development and implementation of Catalent (Schorndorf) logistics and planning strategy.

• Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

• MS degree (preferred) with over 10 years’ experience providing strategic and operational leadership in a customer driven planning and logistics environment.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (CDMO preferred) experience is needed, with SLT/ Board responsibility for SC.

• Managing Supply Chain in an ERP environment (reputed systems like JD Edwards), system implementation experience is needed.

• Significant experience managing people and providing both tactical and strategic leadership to the organization and the site.

• Has the ability and qualities to develop long-term customer relationships, at an international level across different cultures.
