Director Project Development Italy (m/w/d)

Position Overview

At hep, we develop, build and operate long-term solar parks and PV rooftop systems at selected locations worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Solar PV Project Development to spearhead our efforts in expanding our solar project portfolio in Italy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development of solar PV projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the company's project pipeline.
• Assess and develop Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business opportunities in alignment with company goals.
• Build and manage a high-performing local team, providing guidance and support to achieve project objectives.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders across the renewable energy sector.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform business strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy project development.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Italian renewable energy market, with a strong understanding of local regulations and market dynamics.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and executing solar PV projects from conception to commissioning.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, with a talent for identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
