About the Role

A fast-growing eCommerce company is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Director to lead and optimise its operational processes. With expertise in eCommerce logistics, warehouse management, and ERP system implementation, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving scalability and operational excellence. This is a fully onsite role based at the company’s headquarters in Cologne, offering a hands-on leadership opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy

• Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

ERP System Implementation

• Oversee the end-to-end implementation of ERP systems tailored to eCommerce logistics, including inventory management, order tracking, and analytics.

Warehouse Management

• Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, from layout optimisation to inventory accuracy and pick-and-pack processes, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Team Leadership

• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Process Optimisation

• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

KPI Monitoring

• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration

• Partner with IT, sales, and customer service teams to create a cohesive approach to eCommerce operations.

What They’re Looking For

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in operations management, including 3 years in eCommerce logistics.
• ERP Expertise: Proven experience implementing and optimising ERP systems.
• Warehouse Leadership: Hands-on experience managing large-scale warehouse operations, including automation and technology integration.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to use data to drive decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Leadership: Exceptional team management skills with a results-oriented, hands-on approach.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
