We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Digital Platforms Business Architecture Lead.

Principal Responsibilities

Digital Platforms in Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) is responsible for the core Mobile and Browser based platforms for meeting the everyday banking needs of HSBC Wealth & Personal Banking’s (WPB) customer base.

The North Star team is driving HSBC’s bold vision to create the next-generation mobile banking app, delivering deeper customer engagement, standardized global experiences, cutting-edge technology, and personalized insights. We aim to develop the #1 banking app in the world, transforming how millions of customers engage with their finances.

As the Digital Platforms Architecture Lead you will support all Digital Platforms Value Streams; providing overarching principles and guidance to value stream members, ensuring a coordinated approach to developing and implementing a cohesive business architecture infrastructure, building global capabilities that are re-usable, sustainable and that drive efficiency while meeting business outcomes and customer needs.

You will work collaboratively with WPB Business Architecture teams and Technology Architecture teams and is expected to engage in specific Business Architecture Strategic initiatives such as the development of the WPB Business Capability models and the Future State Architecture. In addition, the role holder will work directly with the Head of Digital Platform Transformation and Operations as well as the Digital Platforms leadership teams to execute the delivery mandate of key programmes. Attending decision forums to ensure consideration of architecture impact and to support proactive resolution of architecture matters.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee comprehensive Future State Architecture documents that align with WPB's future. You will assist in the annual funding prioritisation by developing initiatives that enhance efficiency and deliver commercial benefits through the implementation of the Target state.
• Identify and manage long-term dependencies across all Digital Platforms while monitoring emerging platform trends to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IT to establish business architecture and resilience standards for Digital Platforms. You will facilitate timely decisions regarding the architecture of capabilities created by Digital Platforms value streams in partnership with Digital Platforms IT Architecture.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various regions, affecting multiple aspects of the WPB business.
• Oversee overall change governance within the business and technology concerning VS solution decisions, ensuring alignment with key HSBC Group business architecture priorities.
