DevOps and Automation Working Student

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you, as a talented Working Student for DevOps and Automation, to help us in our mission by automating in-house processes and enabling the company to work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Working Student for DevOps and Automation, your duties will include (depending on your knowledge and interest):

• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes applications

• Manage cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

• Develop applications for data processing and process automation in Python

• Build data analytics and processing pipelines

• Build automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines

• Support the engineering teams in setting up data processing for their needs

What we would love to see from you

In the role of a Working Student for DevOps and Automation, ideally, you will have the following:

• Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

And one of the following:

• Practical experience with software development in Python

• Practical experience with the maintenance of Kubernetes clusters

• Practical experience with IaC tools such as Terraform

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
