If so, join our Big Data & Advanced Analytics - Sales Analytics team and collaborate closely with the Capital Markets division, including their Commodities and FX trading teams. Commerzbank and Capital Markets are a strong market maker in FX Markets and have ambitions to grow in the power and gas markets. Accompany us on this exciting journey.

Your tasks

FX

• Develop machine learning models for price prediction in FX markets using techniques such as deep learning neural networks.
• Analyze client flow sentiment in FX markets with techniques such as gradient boosting models to drive risk management decisions.
• Combine intelligent alpha signals for risk management decisions in FX.
• Apply multi-armed bandit testing for trading spread optimization in FX when market making.

Commodities

• Build arbitrage-free gas and power curves using price signals from trading venues.
• Estimate forward curves optimally and define proxy hedge instruments through data analysis, back-testing, and sensitivity testing.
• Utilize advanced data analytics and time series analysis techniques to generate actionable signals for commodities trading.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and web scraping to ensure high-quality datasets and insightful analysis.

Your profile

• Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Econometrics, or a similar highly quantitative discipline.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in programming, preferably Python and SQL.
• Experience in Data Science and Financial Mathematics with a proven ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
• Strong interest in capital markets, including commodities and FX markets.
• Entrepreneurial attitude towards learning new markets and models.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical insights to stakeholders.
• Ability to work on a busy trading desk.
