Your next challenge
Reporting to the country CIO and located in {country}, the Data Product Owner is a key member of the local tech organisation. He/she will guarantee the best practices of Project Management in data projects, and act as facilitator to communicate and connect people from BRS (local, region and global). With the support of dedicated Group Teams, He/she will guarantee the correct project tracking (Plan, financial and scope), communicate properly to Region, SPI and Data Community.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Data Product Owner, he/she will be responsible for:
- Take ownership of the product roadmap for our data management solutions, Collect and translate business needs into Data capabilities and processes.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into well-defined user stories, actively engaging with engineers to address any missing or unclear IT requirements.
- Present user stories to the team during business item refinement sessions and addressing any questions or concerns raised by the engineering team.
- Collaborate with the team to estimate the effort required for each user story and assign them as appropriate (considering future assignment at the start of the sprint).
- Participate in project meetings, particularly when work or scope is unclear or significant. For smaller projects, delegate participation to the relevant team members.
- Define clear acceptance criteria for user stories and collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Continuously monitor the progress of development sprints, address any roadblocks, and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and the development team.
- Conduct regular user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate product functionality and ensure it meets user requirements.
- Analyze market trends, industry best practices, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the data product, providing guidance and support to internal teams and customers.
- Interact with Global Data Competence Centers and the Data Community to scale projects.
This position will focus on managing data demands, change management and product data lifecycle. The objective is to guarantee a perfect alignment to business needs.

Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the tech, fintech or financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of data management principles and best practices, including data warehouse, data integration, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with fintech products and services, including financial data platforms, risk management solutions, or regulatory compliance systems.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and analyze user feedback, market research, and industry trends to inform product decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
