Data Privacy Specialist mfd

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring various country or region-specific privacy legislations and data protection regulations, analyzing compliance requirements and issuing recommendations as needed to support the implementation of new requirements into technology.
• Leading privacy by design initiatives for a portfolio of SaaS products dedicated to the hospitality industry.
• Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
• Improving and maintaining cross-border data transfer legal framework.
• Reviewing and negotiating various data protection terms and data processing agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Managing privacy incidents.
• Maintaining the Register of Processing Activities.
• Interacting with IT security and business stakeholders to identify data protection related risks and introduce mitigating measures.
• Conducting employee training to increase understanding of privacy data handling practices and legal obligations.
• Responding to data subject requests.

Qualifications:

• A university degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a privacy role in a multinational company, ideally in tech/SaaS.
• IAPP certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).
• Experience with interpreting and implementing obligations of data protection legislation and regulations (especially the GDPR, CCPA, and PIPL), as well as understanding security compliance.
• Familiarity with One Trust and/or similar solutions.
• Knowledge and experience in IT and security when working in a privacy role, including a solid understanding of relevant technologies such as encryption, hashing, tokenization, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal and tech matters and collaborate with various teams and divisions.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of IT and SaaS products and practices to protect data during processing activities.
