Data Engineer (f/m/d)

As Data Engineer at our headquarters in Berlin, you will play an important role to bring our data team to the next level. You will not only be responsible for the seamless incoming flow of data from many different sources, but also how we can improve and automate our internal infrastructure. In this role, you will work on a diverse set of topics from multiple departments witha direct impact on how we are taking critical, data driven business decisions as a company.

Your tasks

• Designing and building ELT or ETL data pipelines that handle the company-wide analytics requirements
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize the data infrastructure to ensure the best performance
• Administrating, maintaining and data modeling for cloud data warehouses, ideally Snowflake and/or BigQuery
• Managing, maintaining and orchestrating our data pipelines
• Cooperating with data engineers, analysts and non technical stakeholders within an agile process to build relevant and scalable data products
• Documenting processes, configurations and incidents in order to ensure know-how sharing and full transparency

Your skills

• Several years of relevant experience serving as a data engineer preferably in an e-Commerce environment
• 3+ years of experience of coding skills using Python, R, SQL and/or NoSQL
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS and/or Azure, GCP
• Ability to virtualize services using Docker
• Experience with an orchestration tool like Airflow
• Basic knowledge with DBT, GitHub, CI/CD, Tableau and self-service BI
• Within our agile team we speak English, German knowledge is a plus though
