YOUR TASKS

As Software Engineer (m / f / d), you are responsible for the design, modeling, and development of software components for radar-based perception algorithms for automotive radar. This includes object tracking algorithms for tracking the dynamic or static environment as well as functions like cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, or parking features.

• Development of (also AI-based) algorithms to detect and filter vehicle data based on radar information
• Supporting the development team in regards to the specification of the system and software
• Developing simulation software to test algorithms in real-time
• Evaluation and testing of the developed software parts by unit testing and in real-life
• Process conform documentation of the software
• Discussing and reporting results internally and towards customers

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering or computer science or similar disciplines
• Minimum 3 years experience in the field of embedded software development for real-time systems
• Knowledge about statistical signal processing and algorithms to model the dynamic or static environment; knowledge about machine learning (e.g. AI) is welcome
• Experience in modeling the dynamic behavior of vehicles
• Knowledge about automotive standards in software engineering, quality, and design principles
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols like CAN and experience in development tools and scripting languages like Matlab, Python, C / C++
• Experience or knowledge in the development of functional safety-related software
