For a highly innovative, cutting-edge biomedicine and diagnostics start-up, we are currently looking for a COO to help the company achieving the next milestones. The company combines AI and data tech for revolutionising biomedicine. Since the firm was highly R&D and academia-focused, our client is ready to transform to become a scalable biotech business. As the COO (gn), you will be the interface of the firm's academic foundation and its commercial ambitions and make sure that operational complexities are managed and developed.

You will represent the firm and be a contact person for external and internal stakeholders on all operational aspects.
You will evaluate and implement new systems and install processes to manage growth effectively.
You will establish operational workflows and coordinate the teams accordingly.
You will help develop (and execute) plans for setting up independent lab infrastructure, including procurement of relevant equipment.
You will ensure that science and commercial are aligned in order to achieve the company's goals.
You will support the hiring strategy and help in recruiting critical personnel.
You will implement means for talent retention.
You will also support business development in regards to pricing and other revenue models.
You will have an impact on strategic partnerships.
You will have an impact on allocating funds and on the preparation of financial forecasts, budget planning, etc.

Key Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in an operational leadership role, preferably in biotech, life sciences, or healthcare, ideally with a tech/AI background.
Demonstrated ability to scale operations and manage complex projects.
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and contributing to financial planning.
Strategic mindset with the ability to align scientific innovation with commercial goals.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the company externally.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with setting up lab infrastructure and working with R&D teams.
Familiarity with venture capital expectations and fundraising processes.
A background in science, engineering, or a related technical field is a plus.
