The Position:
The Compliance Officer is tasked with creating and managing comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and training programs to support Daiichi Sankyo's European operations, ensuring alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements, especially in healthcare. This role involves implementing and continuously updating compliance initiatives, developing communication plans for compliance awareness, and managing risk through preventive strategies. The officer also collaborates with various departments and global teams to maintain consistent compliance practices and address compliance issues effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with Daiichi Sankyo's standards and legal requirements, particularly in healthcare interactions.
- Implement compliance policies and training across European HQ and affiliates.
- Regularly evaluate and update policies and training for regulatory compliance and internal standards, with feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Develop strategies for effective communication and embedding of compliance policies and training in company culture.
- Deliver face-to-face sessions and enhance eLearning with support from external students, ensuring engaging and policy-aligned content.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to identify high-risk areas and mitigate risks through policies and training.
- Analyze training data, report compliance status, and maintain documentation for regulatory and audit requirements.
- Align with the Head of Risk Management on policies and training strategies.
- Support CCO Europe in managing complex compliance projects, including global initiatives.
- Advise DSE colleagues on non-GxP policy and training matters.
Personal Skills and Professional Experience:
- University degree in business, legal, natural sciences or similar educational background.
- At least 5-8 years of professional work experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Strong training in compliance policies and Pharma industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interaction with diverse audiences.
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for continuous learning, constantly seeking opportunities for self-improvement and skill enhancement.
- Substantial experience in training and coaching, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical sector, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Proven experience with IT tools, demonstrating a strong business orientation, and proficiency in MS Office programs and content authoring tools.
- Experienced in managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful execution and delivery within set timelines.
- Team player, characterized by an open-minded, flexible, proactive, and motivated attitude, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- High customer service orientation, adopting a solutions-driven approach to meet client needs and resolve issues efficiently.
- Fluency in English for business purposes, both in written and spoken forms, enabling clear and professional communication.
- Open to occasional travel, primarily within Europe, to fulfill job responsibilities and project requirements.
