Community Manager - Co-Founder

Are you passionate about building an empowering space for Black Women in Germany? BSDG is looking for a volunteer Co-Founder!

• Mostly remote but must be available for in-person meetups & coordination with the founder in the Mannheim Region bimonthly.

• 10-15 hours/month (negotiable)

• No specific experience required, just a willingness to learn

Company Description

Black Sisters Dining Germany is a community collective dedicated to BlackPOC females residing in Germany. With a network of approximately 300 members aged between 20 and 35, our community fosters connections and empowerment through online and offline meetups and networking opportunities. Our gatherings, centered around the motto 'Dine and Talk,' focus on food settings and various activities that celebrate and promote black excellence in essential aspects of contemporary BlackPOC female life.

Role Description

1. Support our members and community managers, creating a welcoming space
2. Keep an overview of our growing community (350+ members, 23+ admins across Germany)
3. Oversee online chat group dynamics
4. Organize & lead online and in-person BSDG meetups (Intakes, networking events, strategy meetings etc.)
5. Support admin onboarding & recruitment for different regions
6. Bring in strategies and ideas
7. Assist with proposal writing, research & outreach for BSDG growth
8. Open to create presentations & marketing materials (Canva skills are a plus!)

Qualifications

1. Leadership & initiative - Can work independently and take charge
2. Strong organizational skills (we plan a lot!)
3. Comfortable using WhatsApp for community updates & Google Drive tools (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
4. English proficiency (German is a plus)
