Commissioning Engineer in Mining (m / f / d)

Tasks

1. Planning customer site installation jobs from scheduling activities with customers all the way to getting parts, materials and sub-contractors in line to deliver the job
2. Manage timelines and delivery dates for entire technical installations projects
3. Hands-on installation of safety and productivity solutions like Vehicle Intervention Control for Collision Avoidance or Data Loggers via discrete or CAN bus data interfaces and LTE or WiFi Networks for mobile data collection
4. Training of local installation crews in case of big fleet installations
5. Maintaining customer focussed relationships and understanding for customer requirements, engaging the back-end team to deliver the best possible project result
6. Functional validation of installations and handover of solution to customers
7. Close collaboration with South African back-end team

Requirements

1. Self-organization: from planning trips, service jobs, tools and parts requirements, to scheduling team support

3. Communication: working directly with the Mine Site Customer team as well as the German headquarter team and the South African design and manufacturing team
4. Customer focus: nothing is more important for us than ensuring that the mine site customer is receiving what they need to increase safety and productivity
5. Hands-on solution focused attitude
6. English speaking fluently

Education and experience:

1. Several years of work experience as Electrical Service Technician or Auto Electrician
2. Electrical system education and passion
3. Experience with project commissioning and international projects is a plus
4. Proficient in software installation and configuration
5. Interest in vehicle controllers, customer and application specific installations, software development and WiFi and LTE networks
6. Excited to bring Industry 4.0 into real live Mining Equipment
7. Small team of passionate mining technology experts as work colleagues
