Function description

For Van Oord, we are currently searching for an experienced Chief Officer with strong offshore and jacking expertise to join an advanced jack-up vessel fleet. This permanent role offers an opportunity to advance your career within a global leader in marine construction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Jacking Operations: Independently conduct jacking operations to ensure safe and precise positioning.
2. Operational Management: Collaborate with the Captain and crew to ensure smooth and efficient offshore operations.
3. Crew Leadership: Support crew management, promoting teamwork and readiness.
4. Safety Compliance: Maintain Van Oord's high safety standards in all activities.
5. Onboarding Support: Participate in an onboarding program to ensure a seamless start.

Requirements

1. Chief Mate Certificate of Competency
2. Dutch Endorsement
3. Valid STCW certification for the position
4. BOSIET/FOET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)
5. DPO Unlimited Certification
6. Offshore Medical Certificate and MLC
7. Relevant Offshore Experience (especially on jack-up vessels)
8. Fluent English in word and writing
