About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader with a digital mindset and proven experience in growth-driven VC/PE companies. Key responsibilities include developing a financing strategy for exponential growth to seize market opportunities, managing financial planning, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining relationships with investors.

What You Will Do:

Your responsibilities include:

Financing/External Representation and Communication

  • A good communicator and commercial visionary who can convey Speexx’s strengths to stakeholders—investors, auditors, consultants, regulators, capital providers, and employees. Communicating financial results and KPIs, addressing capital structure issues or M&A opportunities, preparing and executing growth financing rounds, and reaching IPO readiness.

  • Credit Agency Relationship

Business/Operational Finance

  • Promoting operational excellence and supporting strategic decisions in company growth, acting as a strategic partner in various functional/divisional aspects of the business, while implementing the metrics, systems, and processes for efficient decision-making to take the company to the next level.
  • Strategic Corporate Development
  • Budgeting (investment and operational budgets at regular intervals)
  • Forecasts & Analysis
  • Management Reporting / KPI / MIS
  • Cost Competitiveness

Accounting/Controlling/Compliance

  • Managing financial activities in compliance with GAAP and general regulations (such as Sox) set by regulatory authorities in all areas with local subsidiaries, including fraud prevention and financial disclosure. Identifying trends related to risks and opportunities.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Forward-thinking and strategic, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and a business partner to the organization to create value. Hands-on and operational, often handling multiple functions simultaneously and overseeing additional areas beyond finance. Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic approach and a clear, timely communication style. A clear vision of what constitutes a top-class finance organization and how to create value through growth.
  • 7+ years of experience as a CFO/Finance Director, experience with Growth VC/PE IR
  • Leadership of a B2B/SaaS company during rapid growth up to a revenue of €100M with the complexity of international operations, ideally including exit/IPO
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field, an MBA is advantageous
  • Deep knowledge of corporate finance law and risk management
  • Excellent skills in data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Experience in compliance, audit, and corporate governance
  • CPA is a strong advantage
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Additional experience with M&A or ERP system implementation is an advantage
  • Fluent in English and German, international experience
  • Location: Preferably at Speexx’s headquarters in Munich. Speexx offices in Paris, Pavia, or Madrid are also possible.
