About the Company:

We are partnering with a dynamic and innovative green construction startup headquartered near Hamburg. The company is at the forefront of sustainable construction solutions and has built strong relationships in international markets, including contracts with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia. Backed by significant institutional investment, the business is poised for rapid growth through acquisitions and has ambitious plans to go public in 2027.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving startup in its scale-up phase, helping to shape the financial and strategic direction of the business at a critical time in its journey.

The Role:

As CFO, you will be a key leader in driving the financial strategy and operational growth of the company. Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of finance and play a central role in preparing the business for an IPO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s financial strategy to support long-term growth and IPO readiness.
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a startup mindset of agility and innovation.
• Support fundraising activities and strengthen relationships with institutional investors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices, preparing the company for its IPO.
• Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to guide strategic decision-making and business growth.

Your Profile:

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a startup, scale-up, or PE-backed environment.
• Expertise in scaling businesses, fundraising, M&A, and IPO preparation.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and corporate governance.
• A hands-on approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A track record of working in international markets; familiarity with the GCC region is a plus.
• Fluent in English and German language skills are highly desirable.
