The Change Manager is a high-visibility function at BIL within the Organization, Business Processes & Architecture department in the CEO Office line. This role is crucial in enabling employees to understand and embrace organizational or operational changes/new ways of working by preparing for change through effective communication; executing and managing change across various dimensions, including stakeholder engagement, knowledge building, and proficiency enhancement; and reinforcing change to ensure long-term sustainability, while tracking and measuring adoption.
Within the context of the Delivery Framework, the purpose of this position is to manage change on internal projects, programs and coordinate change activities and resources within their scope of responsibilities. This role is key to ensuring project success and the effective adoption of new solutions, processes, and other changes within the organization.
To develop and support SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) organizational change, the Change Manager may also act as an Agile Coach, serving the Delivery Organization (Value Chains composed of Fusion teams) as an evangelist and accelerator for the adoption of agile methodologies.
- Assess change impacts and organizational readiness.
- Focus on people: Identify the impact of changes on functions/teams and assist them through transitions to ensure they are prepared.
- Develop and implement strategies: Create and execute change management plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance, while assessing organizational readiness.
- Communicate effectively: Define communication and stakeholder involvement strategies and monitor their implementation to ensure clarity and engagement.
- Train and support: Develop training plans, oversee the design and delivery of training sessions, and establish change agent networks to facilitate the change process.
- Ensure adoption and continuous improvement: Evaluate employee readiness, support project managers in integrating change management activities, and contribute to the enhancement of change management processes within BIL.
- Organize and coordinate training and workshops on Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and practices (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog management).
- Assess and enhance team agility and maturity through coaching plans and maturity assessments.
- Coach individuals and teams (Team Coaches, Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts) to adopt and improve agile methods.
- Establish and ensure adoption of standards in the Delivery Framework and best agile practices.
- Prepare and lead PI Planning ceremonies at the organizational level and assist Value chains in delivering quarterly plans.
- Animate events on Agility and business analysis Delivery Center of Expertise, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- At Bank level, support monitoring and communicate progress of Agile Key metrics (OKRs, KPIs) to stakeholders and sponsors with SPPM, Program managers.
Qualifications:
- University background in Management or similar.
- BAC + 5 or similar experience.
- Fully fluent (reading, writing, speaking) in French and English.
- Good knowledge of Banking and/or the Services industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project), MS Teams.
- Background in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI) with practical experience.
- Able to handle multiple and complex projects with a solution-oriented spirit and methodology.
- Knowledge in agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN), frameworks (SAFe), and practices is an advantage.
- Between 2-5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Confidently communicate in a clear, concise, and articulate manner - both verbally and in writing.
- Good presentation skills, to all kinds of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence change and resolve conflict at the leadership and team level.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently and manage own tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Facilitating meeting and decision-making processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills that can be applied to resolve complex challenges.
- Experience developing and tracking metrics and using them to make data-driven decisions.
- Ideally, experience in organizational design, employee experience, and corporate culture.
- Practical experience in analyzing and formulating organization design, processes, and end-user documentation.
- Experience coaching and mentoring individuals, teams, and managers and facilitating training sessions.
- Familiarity with agile planning tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
- Ability to deliver effective feedback to people coached.
- Good team player.
- Organized with the ability to operate in a dynamic, often-changing environment with a solutions-oriented attitude.
- Able to quickly build rapport, credibility, trust, and respect with partners throughout the organization at all levels with a client-oriented attitude.
- Show emotional intelligence as well as good influencing skills.
