We are recruiting for a Category Manager IT

Your main challenge will be to support Group-wide IT Projects around Hardware, Software, IT-Services, and related suppliers. These projects will be crucial in getting the Intersnack Group ready for the future and cover multi-year horizons. You will collaborate closely with our Senior Category Managers IT sourcing Hardware, Software, and IT Infrastructure globally under optimal conditions.

You and your team will engage with IT suppliers, leveraging market intelligence to offer competitive solutions to the Intersnack Group’s operating companies. Your key responsibilities will include initiating cost savings, identifying risks, defining clear Service Level Agreements, monitoring portfolio positions, and executing category strategy plans. This role provides high visibility and close collaboration with the senior leadership team at Intersnack.

The Category Manager reports to the Senior Category Manager IT and is based in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the procurement development and execution of strategically defined IT sub-categories across Intersnack Group, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders.
2. Act as a central link between IT, local business units, and Procurement on strategies for assigned categories.
3. Support major IT service contract negotiations and lead allocated contract discussions.
4. Provide high-level analytical support on complex databases that is needed for strategy development, tracking of compliance to strategy, and delivery of savings and bonus.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders across Europe to develop and implement a project pipeline focused on sustainable cost reduction.
6. Monitor supplier market related to the development of new technologies (especially Artificial Intelligence).
7. Address operational issues such as efficiency improvements, disruptions, and contractual disputes with suppliers as needed.
8. Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by your manager.
9. Support your team and the organization in the consistent application of policies and objectives.

In addition, we ask for:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.
• Procurement experience (4+ years) or strong affinity for IT and Indirects, ideally with experience in electronic components.
• The ability to speak the language of IT.
• Fluent spoken and written English and German; additional language skills are a plus.
• An assertive, convincing personality with a commercial and competitive mindset.
• The ability to develop strong working relationships and be a valuable team player.
• Personal drive, proactivity, a results-oriented mindset, and business acumen.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally, mainly within Europe (up to 30%).
