Buying Manager | Fashion Company

Luxe Talent, an International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialised in Fashion, Luxury, Retail and FMCG, is looking for a Buying Manager to expand the product range of a high-quality fashion company based in Germany but working remotely.

In our recruitment and training consultancy, we work with different firms in the Luxury, Premium and High Premium sectors around Europe and have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

About the Role

You’re a strategic thinker who excels at building systems and relationships. While expertise in piercing jewelry isn’t necessary, you’ll quickly grow into the role. You bring fresh ideas, agility, and a proactive mindset to the table, along with the ability to lead your team and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain a diverse, reliable supplier network across regions.
2. Source new products from existing suppliers.
3. Create and enforce supplier agreements (terms, conditions, etc.).
4. Manage inventory to meet customer demand, minimize excess stock, and handle rush orders.
5. Ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
6. Oversee replenishment purchasing by the Buying Assistant and mentor them.
7. Collaborate on product innovation with the CPO and Product team.
8. Continuously analyze cost structures and seek ways to reduce expenses.
9. Monitor competitors and trends to keep product offerings competitive.
10. Align product launches with marketing and sales strategies.
11. Update the Distribution Hub on incoming shipments.
12. Foster a collaborative environment where all stakeholders feel valued.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in procurement or buying roles.
• Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ambitious, driven, and ready to grow with the company.
• Experience in fashion.
• Familiarity with inventory optimization tools and techniques.
• Strong negotiation skills to maintain favorable terms with suppliers.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-solving mindset, especially in managing stock levels and product sourcing challenges.
