Business and Economics Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time IGCSE & IB DP Business, Economics, and Secondary School Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic educational institution.

The teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of the core concepts within the realms of Business, Economics, and Humanities. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality delivery of teaching and learning experiences aligned with the Secondary School Humanities, IGCSE and IB Business and Economics curricula.
• Design and implement effective assessments that align with IB standards and accurately measure student understanding of Humanities, Business and Economics concepts.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the field of IGCSE and IB Business and Economics education, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and academic growth.
• Monitor and enhance student progress, welfare, and academic outcomes within the realm of Business, Economics, and Humanities education.
• Take a proactive role in implementing school policies, with a specific focus on safeguarding and promoting equal opportunities for all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and improvement of the Business, Economics, and Humanities curricula.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Possession of a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDip, BA, MA, MBA, Qualified Teacher Status, or an equivalent teaching credential, along with documentation of ongoing professional development.
• Proven experience in teaching Business and Economics at the IGCSE and IB Diploma levels.
• Familiarity with assessment practices related to IB and IGCSE frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the Humanities curriculum.
• Collaborative mindset, showcasing the ability to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to a cohesive department.
• Evidence of involvement in extracurricular activities, such as student clubs or academic competitions, related to the Humanities field.
