JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Business Manager has the mission of ensuring the implementation of the Brandsplace (marketplace) development strategy, identifying growth opportunities and translating them into actions.
  • Working within the Brandsplace Business Unit, and reporting to the Commercial Director International Brandsplace, the strategic Business Manager's role is to manage and develop all the sectors in order to ensure that the business objectives of sales growth and commission are achieved.

TASKS

Within the Veepee Brandsplace Department, the Business Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Ensure the achievement of the sales target of the Brandsplace encouraging the team to find new sellers and empowering the existing ones.
  • Manage and lead a team of Key Account Managers: performance, career management, and training.
  • Establish and facilitate a culture of productivity, proactivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure & maintain a good business relationship with key business sellers.
  • Collaborate with the e-Merchandising Team (Marketplace), Flash Teams, Onboarding, Operations (Customer Service), Marketing, and Planning teams to be able to deliver the sales objective in the most qualitative way possible.
  • Developing and communicating the vision of all the sectors in the short, medium, and long term, both internally and externally, by embodying change and providing a global vision for the development of the sellers.
  • Adapting business actions to the challenges of the sectors and changes in the market.

Team management

  • Setting, steering, and being responsible for the main KPIs in his/her area of responsibility (financial, logistics, production, marketing, etc.) in collaboration with the business divisions.
  • Directly manage the sales teams from an operational and HR point of view, in close collaboration with the expert leads, and be responsible for their level of commitment, while working towards the same objectives with all the teams contributing to the business (e.g. e-merchandising, flash sales, planning, etc).

MUST HAVE skills

  • With a degree from a business or marketing school, at least 8 years' experience in sales and ideally 5 or 6 as a team manager are required.
  • Fashion and Lifestyle sector knowledge.
  • Very good understanding of multi-business and multi-service issues and how to use them to achieve your objectives.
  • Business Development & prospection skills.
  • Market expertise, business knowledge.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Fluent in German & English.
