Description
Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE CLUSTER LEAD DACH to join our VISION CARE team located in HAMBURG.
The BI Cluster Lead DACH works with local business partners across a cluster of markets to add insights through data and analytics, leading to informed and robust business decisions. This role enables the business to optimize sales and marketing activities by providing a clear picture of sales performance and marketing implementations in relation to a plan designed with the management team. This role will report to the General Manager / Cluster lead and is a member of the local management board.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identify market specific opportunities for growth and risk areas by interrogating data available across functions, market trends & market research, competition activities, customer patterns and other external databases.
- Provide business analytics driven insights to support and challenge country sales and marketing strategies, including launch of new products / new business models and identification of strategic customers and sources of volumes.
- Supervise the design, development, implementation process of sales administration workflow including setting and assigning goals to the commercial team, performance tracking, rewards, policy, and others to support sales plans.
- Direct the creation of compelling market analysis.
- Analyze and monitor on-off track commercial activities indicators to assist management team in making data driven decisions and achieving plans.
- Provide business analyses on complex and multi-dimensional business situations, including customer pricing, product portfolio, promotional activities.
- Assist sales and marketing management team in constructing market & customer specific sales forecasts, budgets, and marketing investments plans.
- Identify potential local and relevant data sources in relation with regional data acquisition strategy and in collaboration with sales and marketing.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor the work of the commercial/sales analyst(s).
- Manage, motivate and develop direct reports and team efforts across markets in cluster.
- Act as the data source expert, together with deep business knowledge, through team leadership and business partnership.
- Champion data democratization and promote good data governance.
- Member of the regional sales advisory board.
Additional Responsibilities
- Identify local analytics enhancement needs, contribute to the prioritization of regional analytics services NPD and support regional harmonization.
- Core member of the Regional Analytics Advisory board including selection of use cases for data science and ML.
- Share and seek best practices across cluster and region.
- At regional level, provide support to the regional analytics team to shape Ways of Working to ensure smooth transition between discovery and production work.
- Shape the choice of analytical tools and platforms to ensure business continuity, adoption and minimize maintenance cost/effort.
This role requires interactions with stakeholders as follows
- Internal: local management teams (GM, commercial, marketing and finance leads), local analyst (from the countries included in the cluster), regional BI team, IT both development support team (Data & Analytics DST and regional Business IT) and key global IT product owners (eg: SFDC, CDP, globally managed data lakes).
- External: vendors and agencies (for externally managed products and tools), locally relevant 1st and 3rd party data providers, consultants engaged for global and regional projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer sciences or related field preferred.
- Experienced professional (+7 years) with relevant business experience in analytics, commercial forecasting, finance or related field (commercially relevant experience preferred).
- Proven experience in business analytics.
- MBA preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in understanding real-world application of data sciences and advanced analytics with experience working across diverse teams to help bridge technology, commercial and data teams: strong analytical skills are crucial to be successful in this role.
- Knowledge in relational database softwares and tools (eg Access, Alteryx).
- Mastery of MS Excel.
- Experience using Tableau or other visualization tool to build customized dashboards and generate compelling business insights required.
- Ability to collect and translate analytics business requirements to shape and guide IT data development requirements.
- Experience in managing master data.
- Natural curiosity and positive energy level required to proactively engage with business partners both internal and external.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential to work across multiple countries & geographies.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with SAP.
- Previous experience in Healthcare industry will be a plus.
- Experience interacting with/supporting commercial teams across seniority levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English is required as the primary business language.
