Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (m/f/d) of Heraeus Printed Electronics (HPE) brings the new Prexonics turnkey solution for inkjet printing of metal coatings into the market. They are the interface between market segment/applications, customers, and internal startup functions. The main goals are to identify business opportunities, win customer projects, and oversee their realization until the business is established.

Responsibilities

1. Identify business opportunities in target market segments and applications of HPE.
2. Assess customer needs and position HPE’s solution versus existing products.
3. Pitch Prexonics solutions and convince stakeholders in the value chain.
4. Develop and nurture relationships with key customers.
5. Translate market segment, application, and customer requirements into requirements for HPE development teams.
6. Calculate total costs of ownership, define pricing options, and issue quotations.
7. Monitor trends in target market segments and applications of HPE.
8. Participate in HPE’s strategy and business model definition.

Your Profile

1. A degree in Engineering (e.g., chemistry, materials science) or a degree in business with a sound understanding of printed electronics technologies.
2. A pioneer mindset with a creative approach to new business models.
3. Strong analytical and strategic skills.
4. Experience with semiconductor and automotive value chains.
5. International experience working with companies in Asia, the USA, and Europe.
6. Experience in project management with international customers in the high-tech sector.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Start-up experience and adaptability are important.
