JOB TITLE: Business Consultant

DEPARTMENT: Professional Services – Pre Sales

REPORTS TO: Director Professional Services, DACH

OFFICE LOCATION: Neuss, North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: A willingness to travel to the Toshiba and regional customer sites is required (customer-facing role).

SCOPE:
As a member of our Professional Services Pre-Sales Team, you will support us in functional areas related to customer, supplier, and partner management within our company. You will work closely with the sales team to convert opportunities into wins, while collaborating with the product specialist, delivery, and support teams to transform proof-of-concepts and pilot projects into rollout projects. Interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Act as a bridge between the customer and the delivery department to ensure high-quality results.
  • Effortlessly and comfortably conduct presentations or workshops related to customer activities.
  • Be capable of communicating with all levels of the customer base, from senior management to branch managers/operators and IT teams.
  • Document customer requirements, create concept papers, and generate requirement documents for the delivery teams.
  • Engage with delivery teams and represent the customer internally to ensure that the customer’s needs and requirements are fully addressed.
  • Focus on both functional and non-functional aspects of the system and leverage extensive retail and technology experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Assist other team members with your expertise in responding to RFIs (Request for Information) / RFPs (Request for Proposal).
  • Support the Helpdesk team in handling complex support cases based on customer needs at various project stages.
  • Train customers, partners, delivery, and support teams on various solution offerings.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR [SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED]:

  1. Proven experience in management consulting and customer-oriented tasks such as requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and refinement.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Experience with POS and ERP systems.
  4. Experience in conducting presentations, demos, proof of concept (POCs), and pilots through continuous engagement with customers and delivery teams.
  5. Experience working with international customers and delivery teams.
  6. Continuous willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies used by various solution providers.
  7. A positive attitude and high motivation to overcome internal and external challenges and obstacles to successfully convert potential opportunities into wins.
  8. A background/education in Information Technology to work seamlessly with product specialists and solution providers.
  9. Good English language skills (oral, written, listening and reading) for working with international solution providers.
  10. Good German language skills for working with customers, partners, and delivery/support teams.
  11. Ideally, prior experience with cloud technologies.
